GETTING STARTED
Greetings!
I am happy to talk or exchange e-mails with you, even before you have decided if you want to move forward.
Send me an e-mail with your contact information, and we can set a time to chat.
Once both parties have decided to mediate, I’ll want to talk with each for about 15 minutes so that we can get acquainted and I can get the big picture. This can be by phone or zoom.
Unless otherwise requested, all mediations are by zoom and parties can mediate together or can be separate.
Often folks want to have two or three sessions and rarely is a session more than two hours. This gives opportunity for reflection and additional matters can be added for discussion.
In family mediation, if there is an agreement or even a partial agreement, I will write up the agreement unless there is an attorney who would do it.
In a mediation involving elder matters, a list of what has been agreed is given to all parties.
After any required document is drafted, all notes are shredded and information remains confidential except where required or permitted by law.
Most of the time, it works!
